About the Role

We are hiring a Principal‑grade Geotechnical Engineer for our Naas office in Ireland, available on either a full‑time or part‑time basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality technical reports, preparing proposals, managing project finances, and overseeing team resources. You will also mentor staff and coordinate with clients, contractors, sub‑consultants and statutory bodies throughout project delivery. • Develop technically competent geotechnical reports and liaise with specialists and clients across multiple sectors. • Produce compelling proposals to secure new business and project opportunities. • Manage project delivery with robust financial oversight and resource allocation. • Mentor, motivate, and develop professional staff within the team. • Coordinate client liaison, contractors, sub‑consultants, and statutory bodies throughout project execution.

What You Bring

The successful candidate will hold a Chartered professional qualification in geotechnical engineering, with extensive post‑qualification experience in ground investigations, engineering geology and related design work. Proven commercial awareness, strong client relationships, and the ability to lead delivery teams from inception to construction are essential. Familiarity with Eurocode 7, geotechnical software, and the evaluation of reports, calculations and drawings is also required. • Chartered geotechnical engineer with significant post‑qualification experience. • Strong commercial awareness and established relationships with clients and contractors. • Proven experience delivering geotechnical, engineering geology, and ground engineering projects, including high‑level report preparation. • Expertise in Eurocode 7, ground investigation contracts, and relevant specifications. • Proficiency with geotechnical software for foundation, retaining wall, slope stability, and reinforced earth design.
