About the Role
The role is a Project Manager position overseeing civil and structural rail and transit projects for the Northeast region. The team designs and constructs stations, bus facilities, track, air‑train projects, elevated guideways, rail bridges, and other transit‑related components, primarily serving New York, New Jersey, and Boston markets while also supporting projects nationwide. In this capacity the manager provides overall managerial and technical direction for major engineering projects, develops staffing budgets and assignment schedules, and monitors project performance against schedule and budget targets. Responsibilities include guiding engineering teams, reviewing and approving top‑level technical designs, establishing project standards and procedures, and recommending process improvements. • Oversee civil/structural rail and transit projects in the Northeast region • Provide technical direction on major capital projects and design efforts • Develop staffing budgets, forecasts, and assignment schedules for each project • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality to ensure performance targets are met • Review and approve top‑level technical designs and documentation for compliance • Establish and maintain project standards, procedures, and improvement recommendations • Lead design‑management and capture‑management activities for rail transit pursuits

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering and possess a Professional Engineer license. At least ten years of rail and transit experience—particularly in design management, capture management, and work with NY/NJ or Boston agencies such as MTA, MBTA, or NJ Transit—is required, with design‑build experience considered a plus. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering • Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license and active society membership • Minimum 10 years of rail/transit experience, including design‑management and client work in NY/NJ or Boston • Experience with design‑build projects, preferably as Design Manager or Discipline Lead
