About the Role

The Sorter is tasked with ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials on a conveyor line. This role supports the overall flow of wastepaper and related items by maintaining the sorting area and following operational guidelines. • Inspect and sort materials by type, size, condition, color, or grade. • Remove contaminants from paper and the work floor. • Stack and dump boxes, skids, and totes as needed. • Feed wastepaper and other materials onto the conveyor. • Clean the conveyor and surrounding sorting area. • Monitor machine start‑up and maintain proper operating speed. • Follow standard operating procedures for equipment use and maintenance. • Report safety concerns and equipment malfunctions. • Participate in weekly/monthly safety and operations meetings. • Provide guidance to less experienced sorters when required.

What You Bring
