About the Role

The Porter/Yard Worker (also called Yard Associate) is responsible for positioning and retrieving rental equipment on the site, maintaining a written maintenance schedule, and servicing equipment when needed to meet specification standards. The role also inspects tools before and after rentals to record any loss or damage. • Communicate effectively with customers, both written and oral

What You Bring

The position requires basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow safety protocols while handling equipment that may weigh 50 lb or more. Physical duties include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and working both indoors and outdoors as job demands. Applicants are encouraged to have completed high school or obtained a GED, and to be familiar with typical construction and industrial tools. Prior exposure to mechanical repair, basic mathematics, and computer applications is advantageous. Strong communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a safety‑first mindset are essential; bilingual ability may be required in certain locations. • High school diploma or GED preferred • Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred • Some experience or training in mechanical equipment repair preferred • Perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) • General mechanical aptitude • Safety-focused mindset • Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required depending on location
