About the Role
The Architect will develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed architectural designs, create coordinated construction documents, and ensure work complies with detailed instructions and project timelines. Effective communication with the design team and clients is essential to determine requirements, budgets, and to modify designs based on feedback or site conditions. The role also supports the Project Manager during construction site meetings and utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM) to produce construction documents while staying current with industry technology. • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed architectural designs for transportation projects. • Produce coordinated construction documents using BIM and Revit. • Communicate with design teams and clients to clarify requirements, budgets, and incorporate feedback. • Participate in construction site meetings to ensure design adherence and update drawings as needed. • Apply sustainable design principles and adhere to architecture standards and building codes. • Utilize Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lumion for visualization and documentation. • Create 3‑D drawings and plans in CAD or Revit.

What You Bring
Mott MacDonald Group Inc. is seeking an Architect III – Transportation to work from its Westwood, MA office, with the possibility of telecommuting. The role is based at 101 Station Drive, #230, Westwood, MA 02090. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field and have three years of architectural experience, including specific experience with Revit, BIM, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion, and the production of construction document sets and 3‑D drawings. Additional experience includes two years working with architecture standards, building codes, and sustainable design, as well as one year in a corporate architectural environment. Applicants should be a Licensed Architect or be actively pursuing licensure through the Architectural Experience Program and be a Certified Professional in Revit. • Hold a Bachelor’s in Architecture (or related field) with at least three years of relevant experience. • Possess a valid architectural license or be enrolled in the AXP program and be a Certified Professional in Revit.
