About the Role
The Maintenance Team Leader is accountable for directing a team of technicians who deliver preventative and corrective maintenance across assigned facilities. This role ensures that all work aligns with established processes and complies with internal and external environmental, health, safety, and fire protection standards. In addition to supervisory duties, the leader actively performs maintenance tasks and remains available for on‑call and emergency response. As a people leader, the role involves guiding, coaching, and developing individual contributors while monitoring work progress and performance. The leader fosters adherence to operating procedures, quality standards, and contractual obligations, and actively participates in safety and training initiatives. • Support continuing education, tuition reimbursement, and employee assistance programs. • Lead a team of technicians, assigning and prioritizing tasks to meet facility uptime goals. • Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with operating procedures, quality, and safety standards. • Conduct facility walkthroughs, inspections, and oversee mechanical/electrical system monitoring. • Maintain accurate work order records in the service management database and obtain approvals for required work. • Coordinate and implement preventative maintenance programs, identifying and escalating deficiencies. • Respond to routine and on‑demand service requests, performing preventative and corrective maintenance. • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. • Facilitate training sessions, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and operational briefings. • Work shifts, remain on‑call, and be prepared for emergency callouts as needed. • Maintain a high environmental, health, and safety mindset in all work activities.

What You Bring
Candidates are expected to bring 7‑10 years of facility operations and maintenance experience, including 3‑5 years in a leadership capacity, complemented by a high school diploma and relevant trades training. Advanced expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical building systems, a strong client‑service orientation, and effective communication skills are essential. The position requires holding one or more journeyman‑level licenses (refrigeration, electrical, or plumbing) or a Power Engineering 4th Class certification. Work is performed in shift rotations with on‑call and emergency availability, and the use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. • Possess 7‑10 years of facility operations/maintenance experience, including 3‑5 years in leadership. • Hold a high school diploma with trades certification and demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills. • Exhibit a strong client‑service orientation, urgency, and effective communication abilities. • Hold at least one journeyman‑level license (Refrigeration, Electrical, Plumbing) or Power Engineering 4th Class certification.

Compensation is a regular full‑time hourly wage ranging from $36.27 to $45.34, determined by experience, education, and performance.
