Diesel Mechanic A - 6am start time
Maintain and repair diesel trucks/equipment: chassis, engine, brakes, hydraulics, HVAC.

About the Role
Under direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician A repairs and maintains diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks. The role covers chassis components, refuse bodies, air‑brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain and steering systems. Employees enjoy working on a single modern fleet, receive training on new technologies, and benefit from a stable shift schedule and competitive wages. The technician must maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle systems and perform complex repairs both on‑site and on the road. Core duties include chassis component repair, servicing refuse bodies and their control, hydraulic and electrical systems, air and hydraulic brake maintenance, engine work, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and line‑maintenance welding and fabrication. They identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools and complete required company training.

What You Bring
Candidates need at least three years of heavy‑duty truck experience and the ability to inspect and repair systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain and diesel emissions without constant supervision. ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications (T1‑T8), LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B Commercial Driver’s License are considered pluses but not mandatory.

A valid driver’s license is required. The position offers $36.15 per hour with a 6 am start time and may include a bonus plan.
