About the Role
In this role you will guide a team of professionals, cultivate lasting client relationships, and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups to produce accurate, high-quality results for transportation, municipal and private development projects. • Mentor and supervise junior staff. • Coordinate departmental projects and maintain revenue budgets. • Develop and implement project schedules with APM and Field Supervisor. • Review staff utilization and billing to meet billable hour goals. • Train staff on proper job performance and work ethic. • Prepare proposals, expressions of interest, and work authorizations. • Maintain knowledge of discipline practices, scientific principles, and regulatory standards. • Organize and file project and general information with administrative support. • Attend client and agency meetings to present project information. • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients. • Collaborate with Billing Managers to develop project invoices. • Identify cross‑sell opportunities for additional services. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and oversee staff performance. • Prepare budgets, track financials, and provide clients with backup data. • Coordinate department and personnel schedules to meet customer needs. • Assist regional leaders on out‑of‑region project efforts when requested. • Obtain necessary permits and certifications from local municipalities. • Review contract documents and address concerns with leadership. • Seek new project leads, maintain client relations, and network for opportunities. • Work with other divisions to identify multi‑line project opportunities. • Develop and deploy marketing and advertising initiatives. • Engage with local industry groups related to engineering, construction, and utilities. • Set performance goals, provide feedback, and recommend disciplinary actions as needed. • Manage project schedules, budgets, and QC/QA plans. • Identify training opportunities to improve staff effectiveness.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree (preferred) and bring at least five years of experience in SUE, including familiarity with NYSDOT specifications, ASCE 38, and related standards, as well as strong communication, organizational and technical presentation skills.
