About the Role

The role manages day‑to‑day activities of the office accounting department and oversees all accounting staff. It reports directly to the Financial Manager, Operational Finance. • Foster a high‑performing finance team through training, mentorship, and performance feedback. • Lead accountants and related staff, conduct performance appraisals using talent management systems. • Review quarterly account reconciliations and suggest improvements. • Monitor monthly G&A, assist in forecast updates, and analyze estimating recovery. • Manage petty cash, payroll, joint‑venture bank accounts, and perform reconciliations. • Approve monthly journal entries and vendor orders; resolve vendor disputes. • Review office contracts, lease agreements, builders risk logs, and ensure insurance coverage. • Assess charitable contribution requests for policy compliance. • Apply accounting principles, analyze financial data, and identify inconsistencies. • Identify financial risks, communicate risk‑management issues, and recommend profitability actions. • Exercise independent judgment, initiate corrective actions, and suggest operational improvements. • Manage multiple requests and tight deadlines, providing timely feedback.

What You Bring

Physical demands include climbing stairs and ladders, using construction hoists, handling objects, and occasional heavy lifting, requiring close vision, depth perception, and balance. Benefits

The position is based in Bridgewater, NJ (Division: New Jersey Main) with a salary range of $102,000 to $157,000 per year.
