About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Director to lead the development of our Aviation Advisory business in the UK, Europe and India. Based in any UK office, you will shape strategy, build a pipeline of advisory projects, and manage a multidisciplinary team of up to five professionals. You will represent AECOM as a trusted advisor, deliver high‑quality consultancy across airport planning, capacity analysis, simulation modelling and sustainability, and collaborate with our wider Europe‑India aviation team. • Grow pipeline by leveraging existing network and pursuing new client opportunities, positioning AECOM as a trusted aviation advisor. • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of up to five staff, ensuring delivery of complex projects on time and to high quality. • Shape advisory business strategy by identifying target markets, defining service portfolio, setting P&L targets and recruiting talent. • Deliver consultancy services across airport master planning, capacity analysis, terminal and support facility planning, airfield planning, simulation modelling and sustainability advice. • Advise clients with expert technical and business analysis, supporting major bids, due diligence and specialist advisory roles. • Ensure quality of all deliverables before client presentation. • Collaborate with the broader Europe and India aviation teams, fostering multi‑cultural and multi‑disciplinary cooperation.

What You Bring
The role requires a bachelor’s degree and membership in a recognised professional institution, plus extensive experience in airport planning, design, engineering or construction. Proven project‑management skills, a record of delivering multidisciplinary projects on time and budget, and strong business‑development capability are essential. International exposure, team‑management experience and a robust network within the aviation industry will enable you to win and deliver advisory projects. • Bachelor’s degree and membership in a recognised professional institution. • Significant experience in airport planning, design, engineering or construction. • Proven track record of leading multi‑disciplinary project teams and delivering on budget and schedule. • Demonstrated business‑development success and strong client/network relationships in aviation. • International work experience or exposure to global aviation projects. • Experience in team management and building high‑performing teams. • Advisory expertise with a robust aviation stakeholder network.
