About the Role
The role is Office Manager – Infrastructure, based in the North of England, supporting the Commercial and Finance operations of the Local Authority North business unit. The successful candidate will handle invoices, monitor compliance, support site teams with training and onboarding, manage workflows and drive process improvements while working closely with the Senior Commercial Manager and the wider commercial team. • Review daily and monthly Prompt Payment Code statistics and pinpoint improvement areas. • Manage invoice queries, authorisations, supplier credits and reconcile aged debt and accruals. • Develop WBS coding structures and workflows with site teams, ensuring goods receipt notes are submitted. • Support training, onboarding and process awareness for new starters and site teams. • Liaise with the Shared Services Centre to identify and implement process improvements. • Maintain and update project key members, workflow approvers and related reports (e.g., plant rental). • Assist with cost administration best practices and ensure site compliance. • Provide ad‑hoc support to the Head of Commercial and BU Finance Director.

What You Bring
A full driver’s licence is essential as the role involves regular travel across the Yorkshire region and the M62 corridor. Working locations are flexible and hybrid working is available. The ideal candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent IT proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet research) and is detail‑oriented, logical and able to meet deadlines. Reliability, inquisitiveness and a proactive problem‑solving attitude are required, as is cost‑administration experience; an administrative qualification is desirable. • Travel across Yorkshire and the M62 corridor as required, using a full driver’s licence.
