About the Role
The Lead Driver CDL (B) oversees a team of drivers to ensure full route coverage, prompt and courteous customer service, and safe waste removal operations. The role includes daily vehicle compliance checks, adherence to all company, state, and federal regulations, and completing vehicle condition reports. The Lead Driver also assists in training new drivers and supports the Route Supervisor or Operations Manager. • Oversee daily driver team performance, report issues, plan re‑routes, and train new drivers. • Conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety concerns. • Safely operate heavy truck along assigned routes, following route sheets and dispatcher instructions. • Use manual/automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste per safety policies. • Interact courteously with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely route service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for unacceptable material and report findings. • Clean accidental waste spills while following safety standards. • Continuously monitor vehicle condition, minimize downtime, and clean equipment after each trip. • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other required documentation. • Maintain departmental productivity standards to service customers efficiently. • Follow all safety policies and procedures. • Participate actively in the Company’s ReSOP safety program. • Adhere to company policies, promote safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks. • Utilize health care and dependent care spending accounts. • Participate in the Employee and Family Assistance Program.

What You Bring
• Possess at least three years of commercial truck driving experience (preferred). • Have at least one year of experience in a lead driving role. • Hold a Class A Commercial Driver’s license. • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, professionalism, and trustworthiness. • Exhibit effective time management to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently. • Show reliable follow‑through on schedules and challenges. • Hold a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s license with air‑brake endorsement.
