About the Role

The Maintenance Technician A works under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager to repair and maintain diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, and suspension, drivetrain and steering systems. This role supports drivers on the road and ensures that technically advanced vehicles remain operational. Technicians are expected to maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnose malfunctions with electronic tools, and complete required company training programs while performing other job‑related duties as needed. • Perform complex repairs on chassis, refuse bodies, brake systems, engines, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and welding/fabrication. • Diagnose malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools. • Complete applicable company training programs. • Inspect and repair major truck systems with limited supervision.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least three years of heavy‑duty truck experience and be capable of inspecting and repairing major systems such as suspensions, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, and diesel emissions with limited supervision. ASE Heavy Truck certifications, LNG/CNG experience, and a Class B or higher CDL are considered assets. • Minimum three years experience servicing heavy‑duty trucks. • ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1‑T8) preferred. • LNG/CNG experience preferred. • Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License preferred. • Valid Driver’s License required.
