About the Role

Daily responsibilities include pre‑site preparation, equipment startup, repair, preventive maintenance and field modifications, as well as troubleshooting with customers, electricians, sales partners and technical support, and completing required service documentation. Representatives may also travel regionally or nationwide, assist senior technicians on large system startups, collaborate with project managers on complex projects, and act on behalf of the District Service Manager to resolve operational issues. • Perform assembly, startup, diagnostics, repair and preventive maintenance on company and third‑party equipment. • Conduct pre‑site preparation, field modifications and troubleshooting with customers, electricians, sales partners and technical support. • Complete field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance logs and startup data sheets. • Travel regionally and nationwide, including overnight trips, to provide customer support. • Assist senior technicians and project managers on large system start‑ups and complex projects. • Resolve operational issues on behalf of the District Service Manager. • Follow safety procedures (lock‑out/tag‑out, NFPA‑70E/OSHA) and report hazards or incidents. • Operate vehicles safely and possess a clean driving record. • Use test and diagnostic equipment effectively. • Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 40 lb, bending, stooping and standing for long periods in extreme weather or confined spaces.

What You Bring

Candidates should have an Associate’s degree, trade or military training, or equivalent electrical‑related experience, be able to read schematics, understand AC/DC power principles, and possess at least two years of field service repair experience with UPS, power distribution, switchgear or related equipment. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and company digital tools, strong safety practices (including lock‑out/tag‑out, NFPA‑70E/OSHA knowledge), safe driving, and the ability to use test and diagnostic equipment, write service reports and communicate effectively in English. Physical demands include lifting up to 40 lb, bending, stooping, standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces and in extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain or dust. • Hold an Associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, military training or equivalent electrical‑related experience. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and operation manuals; understand AC and DC power principles. • Possess 2+ years of field service repair experience with UPS, power distribution, switchgear or related equipment. • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and company digital tools. • Write clear service reports, correspondence and procedures; communicate fluently in English.
