About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear‑end lift attachments to collect and transport waste or recyclable containers that can exceed 1,000 lb. Roles include commercial pickups, residential waste collection, and roll‑off services, all of which require skilled backing maneuvers in congested or tight environments. Key responsibilities include operating vehicles in compliance with WM safety rules, OSHA and DOT regulations, performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, reporting unsafe conditions, attending mandatory training, coordinating with the Operations Manager to improve routes, and ensuring customers’ sites are left clean after dumping. • Operate WM trucks with lift attachments while complying with Safety, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR documentation. • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests and ensure receptacles are emptied and sites left clean. • Follow assigned routes, complete end‑of‑day paperwork, and assist fellow drivers as needed.

What You Bring
Applicants must have at least one year of experience operating a CDL‑required vehicle or recent military driving experience, be 18 years or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, and hold a Class A or B CDL with air‑brake endorsement. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. The position demands physical abilities such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, and handling heavy containers, as well as the ability to sit, talk, and hear while on the job.
