About the Role
The role offers a broad remit, requiring the chef to work closely with the Catering Manager to produce meals, maintain kitchen hygiene, control stock, and follow all kitchen policies and procedures. Emphasis is placed on food safety, compliance with HACCP standards, and accurate documentation of food safety practices. • Assemble, prepare, and produce meals per Catering Manager instructions, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and stock control. • Follow HACCP Food Safety Plan, monitor standards, maintain hygiene, and complete food safety documentation timely. • Manage food storage using FIFO, ensure proper handling, and keep perishable items at appropriate temperatures. • Uphold Spotless Standards of Business Conduct and promote a safety and quality improvement culture. • Maintain a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.

What You Bring
Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery along with a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, and possess thorough knowledge of menu planning, nutrition, and HACCP guidelines. Strong bulk‑cooking abilities, especially in aged‑care or resource settings, coupled with excellent communication, teamwork, and a positive work ethic are essential. • Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. • Demonstrate knowledge of menu and nutritional standards and a solid understanding of HACCP guidelines. • Exhibit strong bulk cooking skills, ideally with aged care or resources experience. • Possess strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities. • Undergo an Australian Federal Police check and medical assessment as part of selection.
