About the Role

The technician will work on multiple solar plants under supervision, performing basic testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and part replacement. Duties include operating company equipment, responding to on‑call emergencies, and preparing accurate documentation of work performed. Collaboration with EPC management and contribution to process improvements are also expected. • Follow all safety protocols and lock‑out/tag‑out procedures. • Operate and maintain company tools and equipment. • Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision. • Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks. • Replace or repair solar parts and components. • Respond to on‑call emergency repairs, including weekends or after‑hours. • Document work accurately and submit required reports. • Suggest process improvements and assist with new technology implementation. • Uphold SOLV Energy’s diversity and inclusion culture. • Obtain and maintain NFPA 70e safety certification.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training is a plus. Required experience includes working in mechanical/electrical environments, basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and solar plant fundamentals. Additional requirements are NFPA 70e safety training, basic computer skills, effective English communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work remotely in extreme weather on an on‑call basis. The role demands frequent stooping, bending, lifting of 50 lb or more, climbing, and exposure to harsh outdoor conditions, vibration, dust, fumes and noise. Workers must maintain finger dexterity, depth perception, and be able to see details at various distances.
