About the Role
As a senior legal counsel reporting to the Associate General Counsel, you will act as the primary advisor on IT, commercial and data law, guiding global teams in the design, development and commercialization of digital solutions while supporting indirect procurement. You will provide pragmatic, risk‑based advice, negotiate and oversee technology agreements, develop standard contract templates, and collaborate with procurement, IT, information security, marketing, and ethics to embed compliance by design. • Provide timely, risk‑based legal advice on IT, commercial and data law matters. • Partner with global digital team to support design, development and commercialization of digital solutions. • Advise on legal risks of internal and client‑facing digital services and implement mitigation strategies. • Draft, review, negotiate and oversee agreements with technology partners, clients and suppliers. • Guide Indirect Procurement on complex global agreements across IT and non‑IT categories. • Create and maintain standard terms, templates, playbooks and self‑service contracting guidance. • Ensure compliance by design for digital solutions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams. • Contribute to contract lifecycle management tool implementation, including workflows and SOPs. • Support corporate governance, policy development, IP protection and training related to technology law. • Build relationships and influence stakeholders at all organization levels. • Drive process improvement through smart templates, guidance and tooling.

What You Bring
The position requires a qualified lawyer in Québec or a comparable jurisdiction, at least ten years of relevant experience, bilingual proficiency in English and French, strong drafting and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments. • Hold a law degree and be a qualified lawyer in Québec or a comparable jurisdiction. • Possess at least 10 years of experience in commercial IT, technology and procurement law. • Demonstrate bilingual fluency in English and French. • Exhibit strong drafting, analytical and high‑stakes negotiation skills. • Work independently, manage ambiguity and meet tight deadlines.
