About the Role
The Carpenter Foreman supervises and coordinates carpenters to ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and on schedule. They create detailed sketches, plan jobs, adhere to timelines, and secure necessary resources. The role requires knowledge of advanced layout, Simon forms, anchor‑bolt placement, material takeoff from drawings, and safety standards, and it involves using various hand and power tools on plant or construction sites. Key duties include inspecting work quality, assisting and problem‑solving for crew members, and enforcing company policies and safety regulations. The foreman reads and interprets blueprints and sketches, builds and sets forms, uses leveling instruments, ties rebar, erects scaffolding, finishes carpentry, installs batter boards, and operates a range of hand and power tools while supporting other craft workers as needed. • Inspect work quality to meet standards and specifications. • Assist and guide carpenters, resolving on‑site issues. • Enforce company policies and safety regulations. • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and produce reports. • Build forms, set levels, tie rebar, erect scaffolding, and operate hand/power tools. • Lift/push/pull up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb) and perform repetitive manual tasks. • Operate electric, gas, and pneumatic tools safely. • Perform calculations, make decisions, and lead teams with strong motivation.

What You Bring
Physical requirements involve lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lb (occasionally 100 lb), repetitive hand/arm use, hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to perform sedentary to heavy labor. The foreman must climb and balance on steel or wood frameworks, handle tools, bend, crawl, kneel, squat, and work on uneven, muddy, or sandy terrain, as well as in confined spaces and adverse weather conditions. Mental qualifications include effective communication with management and field workers, strong reading and writing comprehension for directions and safety policies, and proficiency in basic math and calculations. The role demands decision‑making, attention to detail, the ability to concentrate amid distractions, and strong leadership and motivational skills. • Work in varied weather, uneven terrain, and confined spaces. • Communicate clearly with supervisors and crew; read/write directions.
