About the Role

The Senior Graphic Designer will join the West Specialist Team, supporting business development and operations across multiple western U.S. locations. This hybrid role blends remote work with in‑office collaboration in cities such as Los Angeles, Dallas, Austin, Denver, Chicago, Detroit and San Francisco. In this position, the designer will work closely with proposal and capture managers on high‑stakes pursuits, crafting visual content that aligns with AECOM’s brand and client messaging. The role also involves collaborating with subject‑matter experts to translate technical information into clear graphics and supporting the final production of proposal and marketing materials. • Design advanced graphics and multimedia for complex, high‑priority proposals and qualifications. • Collaborate with proposal and capture managers to align visual assets with pursuit strategies. • Create custom presentations, storyboard content, and plan visuals for interviews and client meetings. • Produce print and digital documents using branded templates, adhering to AECOM’s style guidelines. • Develop branded graphics, templates, illustrations, and select appropriate imagery from digital libraries. • Participate in pursuit planning sessions, storyboarding, and review phases such as Pink and Red. • Partner with authors and SMEs to illustrate technical processes, charts, photorealistic graphics, and diagrams. • Provide technical support for presentations, video conferences, and final document reviews. • Process feedback, edit graphic elements, and resolve issues before final submission. • Ensure quality assurance and control standards across proposal and marketing materials. • Contribute best‑practice recommendations for graphic design and template development. • Adopt and promote new design tools and technologies to improve efficiency and creativity. • Engage in marketing best‑practice teams and graphics roundtables, offering and receiving constructive feedback. • Oversee final document preparation for production, packaging, and shipping. • Manage challenging situations diplomatically, maintaining discretion with confidential matters.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least four years of graphic‑design experience, with advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office, as well as strong knowledge of design best practices and collaborative tools like Teams and SharePoint. Preferred applicants possess six years of experience and familiarity with the architecture/engineering industry and AECOM’s service offerings. • Bachelor’s degree plus 4+ years of graphic‑design experience (or equivalent education/experience). • Expert proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat for high‑impact layouts and interactive PDFs. • Strong skills in creating compelling PowerPoint presentations and using Microsoft Office Suite. • Solid understanding of graphic‑design and marketing best practices, visual messaging, and evaluation criteria. • Proficient with collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. • Preferred: 6+ years of experience, background in digital arts, communications or marketing. • Preferred: Knowledge of the architecture/engineering industry and AECOM’s service lines.
