About the Role
The BIM Model Manager will oversee the digital model environment, collaborate with project managers and digital delivery specialists, and ensure the creation and maintenance of comprehensive Digital Delivery Plans. This includes establishing server infrastructure, managing model health, and coordinating across disciplines throughout the project lifecycle. • Manage the digital model environment and deliverables for entire projects. • Coordinate interdisciplinary interactions and oversee construction document production. • Develop and maintain the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) with project managers and digital delivery leads. • Establish server infrastructure, discipline models, and digital deliverables during project initiation. • Execute digital deliverables and support production teams throughout the project lifecycle. • Provide technical support and communicate deliverable schedules to project teams. • Monitor model health, coordination processes, and ensure compliance with company standards. • Set up and maintain document management systems and multi‑discipline server infrastructure. • Ensure the team has appropriate software versions, access, and training for project requirements. • Configure model setup including coordinates, scales, orientations, views, sheets, and scope boundaries. • Lead Digital Delivery coordination meetings and conduct design reviews and 3D coordination. • Compile and exchange project digital deliverables at predefined milestones. • Archive project files at submittal and closeout stages. • Present and communicate project updates to HDR management, production staff, and clients.

The downtown Chicago BES team is a young, self‑motivated group seeking skilled BIM Model Coordinators to lead and mentor on Revit management and project delivery. The role of BIM Model Manager will support the team’s growth and project success. Candidates must have a technical degree or equivalent experience, at least five years of BIM design work, and advanced skills in 3D design, coordination tools, and document management. Strong client service, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities are essential. • Minimum 5 years of BIM digital design experience with a technical degree or equivalent. • Strong understanding of interdisciplinary building system relationships. • Advanced proficiency in 3D design, coordination tools, and document management software. • Expertise with Microsoft Office, industry standards, discipline codes, and specifications. • Familiarity with automation, programming, and 3D design software add‑ins. • Excellent client service, communication, and presentation abilities. • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for first‑line technical support.
