About the Role
In this senior position you will lead the delivery of high‑value utility projects, ensuring technical excellence, best‑value outcomes and adherence to scope, programme and budget. You will provide strategic cost, procurement and engineering advice, manage multidisciplinary teams of contractors and consultants, and strengthen long‑term client relationships. Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to digital and data‑led project tools are also key aspects of the role. • Lead planning, design, and delivery of water, gas, electricity, and telecom utility projects from concept to completion. • Advise clients on strategic cost, procurement, and engineering to achieve best value. • Manage contractors, consultants, and third parties within multidisciplinary project teams. • Oversee feasibility studies, procurement, and implementation of new utility connections and diversions. • Conduct and lead project meetings, preparing technical and financial reports. • Ensure projects stay within scope, schedule, and budget. • Develop digital tools and data‑driven approaches to improve delivery. • Mentor junior utilities consultants and support team members. • Uphold highest professional standards and client service quality. • Manage complex, high‑value, multi‑stakeholder projects effectively. • Lead strategic utility commissions across major UK developments. • Work in a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and knowledge sharing. • Access leading digital tools and training resources.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate proven utilities project management experience in consultancy or engineering. • Possess strong knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts and utility procurement strategies. • Exhibit excellent communication, negotiation, and client‑facing skills. • Utilize digital tools, data models, and reporting platforms confidently. • Apply strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational abilities. • Hold a degree or HND in construction, engineering, real estate, or related utilities discipline. • Work toward or hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, ICE, IET, CEng). • Provide evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership training.
