About the Role

The Junior Control Field Service Engineer will join the Field Engineering team and work onsite with customers on gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and electrical generators. After an intensive training program, the engineer will lead installation and maintenance activities, troubleshoot equipment, oversee overhaul and commissioning of rotating assets, and ensure safe, compliant start‑ups. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, briefing reports, and managing digital tools, packing lists, bills of material and drawings. • Lead installation, maintenance, overhaul and commissioning of gas turbines, compressors and generators at customer sites. • Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure safe, compliant start‑ups. • Provide technical direction to internal teams and skilled labour while maintaining quality and safety standards. • Prepare and update technical documents, briefing reports, and manage digital tools, packing lists, bills of material and drawings. • Work with flexible on‑site schedules that align with client patterns.

What You Bring

Candidates should have 0‑2 years of experience in the energy or oil & gas sector, an electrical or engineering degree or a Certificate IV with relevant experience, and a valid Australian electrical licence. Basic knowledge of rotating equipment, a strong customer‑service orientation, the ability to communicate complex technical information, and competence in reading schematics are required. A current passport and willingness to travel up to 70 % of the time, including offshore assignments, are essential. • Hold 0‑2 years of energy/oil‑gas experience, an electrical or engineering qualification, and a valid Australian electrical licence. • Demonstrate basic knowledge of rotating equipment, a strong customer‑service mindset, and ability to convey complex technical information. • Maintain a current passport and be prepared to travel up to 70 % of the time, including offshore assignments.
