About the Role

In this role the manager will oversee multiple environmental projects, mentor junior staff, and act as the primary liaison with clients. Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, report preparation, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The manager will also coordinate technical and administrative issues and guide subcontractors and field technicians. Regular site visits and client communications are essential to monitor progress and address any changes. • Mentor junior staff and support team development • Attend project meetings and resolve technical and administrative issues • Interface daily with clients and maintain a client database • Manage project budgets, prepare change orders and invoices, and assist with collections • Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff • Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines; coordinate weekly with supervisor • Manage multiple environmental projects, providing technical support • Prepare proposals, change orders, and environmental reports with analysis and recommendations • Review deliverables from subordinate staff before senior review • Lead or attend client project discussions and follow up on reports • Direct field work performed by subcontractors, technicians, and other field staff • Review daily field reports and conduct routine site visits to ensure quality and progress • Communicate project milestones and significant changes to clients • Apply knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations to study findings • Conduct and manage asbestos, lead‑based paint, mold, and indoor air quality assessments, remediation, or abatement (certifications required) • Oversee site activities and maintain communication with field staff and senior managers • Ensure proper sample collection, preparation, preservation, and laboratory submission per regulations • Independently prepare reports for senior manager review

What You Bring

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, accompanied by at least five years of consulting experience. Relevant asbestos, lead‑based paint, and mold certifications are strongly preferred. Physical capability to lift 40 lb occasionally and navigate uneven terrain is required. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field • Minimum five years of environmental consulting and industrial hygiene experience • Relevant certifications in asbestos, lead‑based paint, and mold (strongly desired) • Strong knowledge of environmental principles, permitting processes, regulations, and test methods • Ability to develop and manage new client relationships • Proven experience independently managing multiple projects simultaneously • Physical ability to lift at least 40 lb occasionally and walk on uneven terrain
