About the Role

As a Senior Payroll Specialist at Johnson Controls, you will lead Singapore payroll operations and potentially expand to other SEA markets. The role serves as a bridge between internal teams and external vendors, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll delivery. • Process monthly Singapore payroll end‑to‑end, including CPF, IRAS, and MOM compliance. • Partner with external payroll vendors to ensure accurate, timely execution across jurisdictions. • Validate payroll data, reconcile reports, and manage retroactive adjustments and statutory filings. • Serve as primary liaison for vendor performance, reviewing deliverables and escalating issues. • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to resolve complex payroll queries. • Advise managers and employees on payroll policies, statutory compliance, and expatriate compensation. • Coordinate with global mobility, tax advisors, and vendors for international assignee payroll. • Support internal and external payroll audits and respond to statutory authority inquiries. • Reconcile payroll with Finance to guarantee timely salary disbursement and manage funding. • Manage government subsidy claims and identify process‑streamlining opportunities. • Optimize Workday payroll system and develop advanced Excel tools for efficiency. • Contribute to regional payroll harmonization projects and continuous process improvement.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate brings over five years of payroll experience, deep knowledge of Singapore statutory requirements, and proven ability to manage outsourced payroll providers. Strong analytical skills, advanced Workday and Excel proficiency, and a collaborative mindset are essential. • Minimum 5 years payroll experience with strong Singapore regulatory knowledge. • Experience managing outsourced payroll providers and holding them accountable. • High attention to detail and accuracy in validation, reconciliation, and reporting. • Proficiency in Workday and advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP. • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to regulatory changes, and work under pressure. • Strong collaboration skills with HR, Finance, line managers, and business teams. • Problem‑solving mindset with a track record of proposing practical improvements.
