About the Role
The Lead QA Representative oversees daily QA activities, prepares and reviews daily reports, implements the project‑specific QA process, and develops supplemental Quality Assurance Plans. Responsibilities include reviewing contractor submittals, monitoring submittal schedules, inspecting construction techniques, conducting compliance inspections, and documenting findings. The incumbent also participates in pre‑construction, progress, and coordination meetings and collaborates closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, and other QA staff. • Lead and supervise QA Representatives on‑site. • Prepare and review daily QA reports for accuracy and completeness. • Implement and update site‑specific Quality Assurance Plans. • Review contractor submittals and recommend approvals or rejections. • Monitor submittal timelines to meet contractual deadlines. • Conduct inspections, testing, and compliance checks of work, materials, and equipment. • Document inspection results and coordinate corrective actions. • Participate in pre‑construction, progress, and coordination meetings with government and contractors. • Collaborate with Project Manager, Engineers, and QA staff to ensure project success. • Utilize web‑based PMIS tools (e.g., Procore, Kahua) for submittal and QA tracking. • Ensure physical readiness for fieldwork on rough terrain and long standing periods.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least eight years of construction safety and quality assurance experience on large multi‑million‑dollar Federal projects, a bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management (or equivalent experience), and proficiency with web‑based project management systems such as Procore or Kahua. US citizenship, a valid driver’s license, the ability to pass federal background checks, and physical capability to work on rugged terrain are required. Desired qualifications include CPM schedule review experience, recent completion of a Construction Quality Management or OSHA 30‑hour course, and prior work in remote locations.
