About the Role

The Workplace Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, attractive, and functional environment for Autodesk employees and visitors. This role develops and implements workplace programs that align with continuous improvement, automation, and global best practices while minimizing the company’s financial exposure. The manager oversees operations and maintenance of facilities, coordinates space allocation, communication services, networking requirements, and may oversee health and safety standards, budgets, contracts, and purchases. Facilities management includes guiding space planning, conducting needs assessments, and managing the overall condition of buildings and sites. The manager works closely with landlords and vendors, leads disaster preparedness and recovery initiatives, and collaborates with corporate real estate to evaluate current and future property needs. Oversight extends to architectural drawings, floor plans, and critical systems such as HVAC, utilities, emergency generators, lighting, security, and fire testing, with some locations also covering parking, vehicle leasing, and fleet management. In the coordination and people‑management dimension, the Workplace Manager maintains strong customer relationships, communicates project timelines, and establishes standards for vendor interactions. Leadership responsibilities encompass directing a diverse Facilities team—including technicians, service coordinators, security managers, and reception staff—to ensure seamless operation of the workplace. • Develop space management guidelines, conduct planning, and assess future space needs. • Oversee full facility maintenance, act as landlord/vendor liaison, and ensure superior building condition. • Manage disaster preparedness, recovery programs, and coordinate emergency response plans. • Establish and report on facilities budget; evaluate real‑estate needs with corporate real estate. • Maintain accurate architectural drawings, floor plans, and oversee construction documentation. • Supervise HVAC, utilities, emergency generator, lighting, security, and fire‑testing systems. • Handle location‑specific parking, vehicle leasing, and fleet management. • Manage customer expectations, communicate project status, and set vendor relationship standards. • Lead and develop the Facilities team, including technicians, service coordinators, security managers, and reception staff.

What You Bring

Candidates should possess a degree in Real Estate, Engineering, or a related discipline and at least ten years of managerial experience, or equivalent experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, enterprise databases, and a detail‑oriented mindset for data integrity are essential, along with strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder‑engagement skills. The role demands self‑starting leadership, organizational ability, and the capacity to meet deadlines and respond swiftly to requests. • Hold a degree in Real Estate, Engineering or related field with 10+ years managerial experience (or equivalent). • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and enterprise database queries. • Detail‑oriented with strong data‑integrity focus. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement abilities. • Self‑starter with strong organizational and leadership skills. • Able to thrive in deadline‑driven environments and respond promptly to requests.
