About the Role

The role of Certification Engineer is part of the Amphibious Combat and Support Capability Life Cycle Manager (ACS CLCM) program. Reporting with limited direction, the engineer will coordinate certification requirements across engineering and sustainment activities, ensuring compliance with Defence, Navy, statutory and classification standards while providing trusted technical guidance to align all work with the approved Certification Basis. KBR warns candidates about job‑placement fraud; the firm never requests advance payments and carefully manages candidate information to protect privacy. • Coordinate and report on certification assurance for sustainment engineering and maintenance activities. • Ensure certification requirements comply with Defence, Navy, statutory regulations and classification society rules. • Manage certification sets for equipment and materials. • Advise the ACSSPO Principal Engineer on certification basis issues and engineering decisions. • Assess deviations, waivers and risk assessments; recommend authorised changes to the certification basis. • Collaborate with the Systems Safety Lead on certification‑related safety and statutory matters. • Review engineering deliverables across the systems engineering lifecycle for compliance with certification basis requirements. • Support planning and participation in class society periodic surveys and witness points. • Track conditions of class and surveyor observations; develop remediation plans. • Liaise with Defence, Navy, industry stakeholders and classification societies on certification matters. • Contribute to continuous improvement of ACSSPO and CLCM certification processes and plans. • Provide support and guidance on DOORS utilisation and certification requirements. • Maintain compliance with mandatory training, engineering policy and safe working practices. • Hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
