About the Role
In this senior position you will lead the conceptual to detailed design of water dams, retarding basins and service basins, and conduct inspections, investigations and condition assessments of existing dams, reviewing monitoring data. You will participate in multidisciplinary safety reviews, manage client relationships and oversee multiple projects ranging from small to large scale. Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team culture are also key aspects of the role. • Design water dams, retarding basins and service basins from concept to detailed design. • Inspect, investigate and assess condition of existing dams, including monitoring data review. • Conduct safety reviews with multidisciplinary teams. • Liaise with clients and manage multiple projects of varying scale. • Mentor junior engineers. • Prepare design reports, drawings and specifications. • Provide flexible work arrangements, alternative start/finish times, part‑time, job‑sharing and hybrid options. • Provide full relocation and visa support for suitable candidates worldwide.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in dams or reservoir engineering and design, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and CPEng accreditation. Demonstrated capability in preparing design reports, drawings and specifications, together with excellent report‑writing and verbal communication skills, is essential. A positive attitude that views challenges as opportunities for innovation and growth is highly valued. • Hold experience in dam/reservoir engineering and design. • Possess relevant tertiary qualifications and CPEng accreditation. • Demonstrate strong report writing and verbal communication skills.
