Job Highlights
About the Role
• Creates accurate conceptual budgets based off minimal information in real time. • Responsible for estimating new projects, change-order request and purchasing / buyout of equipment • Acts on input to continuously improve by perfecting existing processes and implementing new ones. • Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced colleagues. • Manages the development of Service Project estimates, proposals and presentations and leads the presentation to specified clients and customers. • Prepares and executes business development action plans for specific customer/market targets based on Service Projects priorities. • Meets with the client/owner to provide advice and planning on new projects to ensure the project gets off to a good start. Serves as subject matter expert for mechanical/plumbing system selections. • Actively participates in industry associations and seeks leadership roles. • Leads the sales process through the procurement stage. • Develops business objectives and their strategies to support overall Business Unit revenue goals in an assigned market segment or specific customer(s). • May participate in business plan/strategic planning sessions for the Business Unit. • Performs and manages industry/market segment research to identify potential opportunities, and prioritize relationship building/business efforts. • Communicates the outcome of presentations and relays the specifics of client expectations and other considerations that will influence/impact project performance. • Partners with architects and engineers to guide and/or lead the design effort.

What You Bring
• Time management and planning skills • Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs. • Advanced market knowledge. • Understands financial models used in fixed price, cost plus and unit rate/price contracting. • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience as a Business Development Manager within the HVAC industry. • Ability to build customer/client rapport.
