About the Role
The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates designated steel, mechanical, or miscellaneous metal construction projects, ensuring that objectives are achieved on schedule and within budget. This role encompasses overall project oversight, including budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, documentation, billing, change orders, labor productivity, cost control, and project closeout. The position requires leading projects from inception to completion, working closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to manage schedules, monitor progress, resolve challenges, and maintain clear communication throughout each phase. Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail are essential for balancing competing priorities and sustaining project momentum. • Manage and supervise day‑to‑day operations of staff teams on assigned projects. • Initiate, review, and oversee project administration and documentation to avoid claims. • Secure, review, process, and execute contract agreements promptly. • Review, edit, finalize, and distribute project budgets. • Conduct pre‑construction turnover meetings for all assigned projects. • Obtain and post required permits and licenses. • Set up, monitor, and update project scheduling. • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment with emphasis on buyout plans. • Negotiate, prepare, process, and execute subcontract agreements. • Maintain submittal review, processing, approvals, and submittal logs. • Develop, submit, and obtain approval of billing schedules of values. • Maintain an over‑billed cash position and request retention release bill‑down/payments. • Collect payments, progress billing, and retention receivables on or before due dates. • Staff projects with appropriate field forces and manage labor resource loading and productivity. • Oversee tools and rental equipment usage; return unused items promptly. • Ensure overall financial performance of assigned projects through cost control and forecasting. • Prepare and submit accurate monthly contract valuations on time. • Review, approve, and process all subcontractor and supplier invoices.

What You Bring
Qualified candidates possess at least ten years of project‑management experience (or seven years for an assistant role), a college degree or equivalent, proven fiscal responsibility, and the ability to make independent decisions. The role involves regular office work with occasional physical tasks such as reaching, stooping, or kneeling.
