About the Role

The designer will perform transmission line design using PLS‑CADD and PLS‑POLE for wood, steel, and concrete structures, and will develop drawings, bills of materials, assembly and foundation details. Designs must adhere to RRC, client, and industry standards, meet project specifications, and pass company quality checks. The role also involves contributing to internal procedures, mentoring junior staff, and occasional site visits. • Design transmission lines with PLS‑CADD and PLS‑POLE for wood, steel, and concrete. • Produce project drawings, bills of materials, assembly, and foundation details. • Apply RRC, client, and industry standards to ensure design compliance. • Contribute to internal design procedures and mentor junior staff. • Perform occasional site visits as needed.

What You Bring

Candidates need an associate’s or technical degree (or equivalent experience) and at least five years of transmission line engineering design experience. Required skills include Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and proficiency with PLS‑CADD and PLS‑POLE, as well as knowledge of NESC, RUS, and ASCE 7 codes. Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on multiple projects are essential, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. • Minimum 5 years of transmission line design experience with an associate’s or technical degree (or equivalent). • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD/MicroStation, and PLS‑CADD/PLS‑POLE. • Knowledge of NESC, RUS, and ASCE 7 design codes and procurement processes. • Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects. • Authorized to work full‑time in the United States.
