About the Role

• Operate various construction cranes, including friction and RT models, to move equipment and materials. • Plan and execute operational lifts, performing load and lift planning. • Inspect crane equipment and complete associated inspection paperwork. • Follow hand signals or signaler directions and enforce all safety regulations. • Assess work areas for safety issues and coordinate equipment operation planning.

What You Bring

Industrial Heavy Equipment Operators will operate one or more cranes to move heavy equipment from one location to another, often involving changes in altitude. The role requires the ability to operate both friction and rough terrain (RT) cranes. Candidates must hold current National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) credentials appropriate to the crane type, possess a valid DOT physical, and have at least five years of crane operating experience. Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the necessary tools. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to sit for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and perform precise coordinated movements. Workers must wear required personal protective equipment and pass visual acuity assessments. • Maintain reliable transportation and possess required tools such as rain coat and rain boots. • Hold NCCCO certifications for telescopic boom cranes (fixed cab TSS and swing cab TLL). • Preferred: current or former Zachry employee, experience with listed crane models, formal/technical education.
