About the Role
In the Fabrication Technician, Powder Coat role, you will load and unload material onto the powder coat line. You may also operate the powder coat booth, applying powder to parts according to customer specifications, and inspect work to verify conformance to quality requirements. Maintaining high quality standards is essential to meet production goals. You will help build a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all company policies, using personal protective equipment correctly, and performing 5S duties. Adherence to safety procedures is a core expectation. You will follow travel documents, blueprints, and oral or written instructions to load, unload, set up, and operate the powder coat line. Maintaining expected progress on assigned jobs and communicating concerns promptly are also required. Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and conducting root‑cause analysis when quality or production issues arise are key responsibilities. Quality responsibilities include measuring finished parts with a tape measure or calipers, performing visual inspections, identifying non‑conforming parts, and troubleshooting errors. • Load and unload material onto the powder coat line. • Operate powder coat booth and apply powder per customer specifications. • Inspect work for conformance to quality standards. • Follow safety policies, use PPE, and perform 5S duties. • Read and interpret travel documents, blueprints, and instructions. • Maintain job progress and communicate issues promptly. • Identify process improvement opportunities and conduct root‑cause analysis. • Measure finished parts with tape measure or calipers; perform visual inspections. • Troubleshoot non‑conforming parts.

Cross‑training allows you to stand in for other employees or job functions when necessary, and you may be assigned other duties as required. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED and be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship. No relocation assistance is offered, and only applicants within a 50‑mile radius of Greenwood, SC are considered, except active‑duty military members who are exempt. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasive abilities, and analytical problem‑solving skills are required. You must be able to work effectively with individuals and groups in a team environment. The role regularly requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching, gripping, and using hands. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lb, as well as far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination, are necessary. • Require high school diploma or GED; no sponsorship needed; within 50 mi of Greenwood, SC (military exemption). • Experience reading blueprints and using measuring devices. • Strong verbal/written communication, persuasive and analytical problem‑solving skills. • Ability to stand, walk, lift/carry up to 50 lb repeatedly; vision with depth perception and color discrimination.
