About the Role

The incumbent is responsible for general maintenance, minor preventive maintenance, and repair of interior and exterior building components, sanitation systems, low‑voltage electrical systems, and related facilities for military family housing and bachelor’s quarters at various locations. Pay rate is $31.16 per hour. Work is performed onsite. • Assist journeyman craftsmen in assigned tasks • Maintain, repair, and replace doors, woodwork, paneling, drywall, and floor coverings • Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors • Work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal and written instructions • Perform occasional painting or touch‑ups of structures or equipment • Conduct minor preventive maintenance such as changing air filters, lubricating components, and performing inspections • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures like sinks, faucets, and toilets • Replace broken windows • Provide daily reports of tasks performed at the end of each workday • Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment • Ensure proper housekeeping practices are observed

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent • Four years’ experience in one or more construction trades (painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, or electrical) • Proficient ability to read, write, and speak English • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government installations through DBIDS
