About the Role
Function as an Apprentice Electrician under a certified or licensed Electrician for Bergelectric Corp. Assist electricians with installing new electrical systems and repairing existing systems while maintaining compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes and company policies. Support activities at commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential project locations. Apprentice Electricians help install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems, using hand and power tools under supervision. They assist with measuring, cutting, bending, threading, and installing wiring, conduit, and other raceway systems, as well as splicing and terminating wires at junction points, while maintaining workflow schedules and professional conduct. Work is performed outdoors in varied weather conditions—including cold, snow, rain, and heat—and may involve high noise levels. • Assist with installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of commercial, industrial, and residential electrical systems. • Use hand and power tools under supervision. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install wiring, conduit, and raceway systems. • Work on wires and cables in control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, switch gear, receptacles, and switches. • Splice and terminate wires at junction points. • Clean, gather, and transport materials to electricians on site. • Maintain workflow schedules to meet productivity objectives. • Follow all Bergelectric safety policies and procedures. • Read and interpret electrical single‑line blueprints.

What You Bring
The role requires lifting up to 50 lb, pulling 50 lb of force, climbing ladders, pulling wire and conduit, and maintaining positions such as squatting, stooping, or kneeling while wearing a 25 lb tool belt. It also involves prolonged standing and repetitive hand motions, often working from ladders, man lifts, or boom lifts. • Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members. • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy with colleagues, customers, and vendors. • Understand electrical theory, basic and specialty circuits, magnetic induction, three‑phase transformers, conductors, and wiring methods. • Familiar with operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. • Know basic tool usage and safety practices.
