About the Role

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for the successful start‑up, testing, and validation of all data‑center systems, coordinating activities across mechanical, electrical, controls, and integrated disciplines to meet design intent, client specifications, and Tier certification standards such as Uptime and TIA‑942. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, deep MEP and ELV integration knowledge, and experience in mission‑critical environments. • Develop and maintain detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures aligned with project milestones. • Coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure systems are installed, tested, and commissioned per specification. • Lead commissioning activities for electrical systems including LV/MV, UPS, generators, busbars, distribution, earthing, and lighting. • Lead commissioning activities for mechanical systems such as chillers, CRAHs, CRACs, pumps, AHUs, piping, and BMS integration. • Lead commissioning activities for controls/automation including SCADA, BMS, EPMS, fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and leak detection. • Oversee vendor Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) and ensure compliance with Integrated Systems Testing (IST) protocols. • Review design drawings, method statements, and commissioning procedures for technical completeness and scope alignment. • Maintain commissioning logs, issue trackers, and punch lists using Cx software or project CDE tools (Aconex, Procore, etc.). • Prepare detailed commissioning reports, O&M manuals, and final turnover documentation. • Chair or participate in commissioning meetings, providing progress updates and identifying critical‑path items. • Support the T&C Manager in planning and coordinating the IST phase, ensuring system interdependencies are properly tested. • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with HSE policies, local regulations, and manufacturer guidelines. • Validate system performance against design intent, operational parameters, and Tier certification requirements. • Participate in risk assessments and method‑statement reviews for high‑risk commissioning tasks.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) and have at least five years of testing and commissioning experience, including three years in OFCI. Required skills include end‑to‑end commissioning, MEP systems integration, redundancy design, and proficiency with MS Office, Primavera/MS Project, and commissioning software. • Demonstrated end‑to‑end commissioning experience from pre‑functional checks through client witness testing. • In‑depth understanding of MEP systems integration, controls logic, and redundancy design (N+1, 2N). • Familiarity with Uptime Institute or TIA‑942 standards is advantageous. • Proficient in MS Office, Primavera/MS Project, and commissioning software tools.

This is a traveling role covering the United States, with up to 100% travel and an average assignment length of six to eight months per project.
