About the Role
The engineer will optimize manual, semi‑automated, and fully automated welding processes, collaborating with operators, team leaders, and value‑stream managers to improve layouts, material flow, and line balancing. He/she will provide hands‑on guidance for orbital welding, fixture design, and sanitary tube fabrication, including fittings and ports. Lean principles will be applied to drive continuous improvement, safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction. The role also partners with New Product Development to assess drawings for manufacturability and submits capital equipment requests for new technology integration. • Optimize manual, semi‑automated, and fully automated welding processes to improve production layout and line balancing. • Provide hands‑on guidance for orbital welding, fixture design, and sanitary tube fabrication, including fittings and ports. • Apply lean principles to reduce waste, enhance safety, quality, delivery, and lower cost. • Collaborate with New Product Development to evaluate drawings for manufacturability and cost‑effectiveness. • Submit capital equipment requests and coordinate integration of new technology with project teams and suppliers.

What You Bring
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials Science, Welding, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is required. Candidates must have hands‑on welding experience, preferably with stainless‑steel tube fabrication, and be proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office, ERP, or PLM systems. Experience with automation equipment is preferred, and a Certified Welding Inspector credential or willingness to obtain it is a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials Science, Welding, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. • Hands‑on welding experience, preferably stainless‑steel tube fabrication. • Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office, ERP, or PLM systems. • Experience with automation equipment (preferred). • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential or willingness to obtain certification (a plus).
