About the Role

The Community Manager I is tasked with supervising the overall operation and administration of a community association. This role serves as the primary liaison among homeowners, vendors, board members, committees, and Associa staff, ensuring effective communication and service delivery. Key duties include overseeing compliance with management agreements and association policies, managing financial reporting, recommending capital expenditures, and monitoring delinquency and collections. The manager also coordinates board meetings, prepares board packages, handles legal action notifications, maintains operational files, and directs vendor and staff performance. Additional responsibilities cover architectural review assistance, database maintenance, facility inspections, and accounts payable oversight. • Supervise association operations and administration per management agreement and policies. • Act as primary liaison with the Board of Directors, homeowners, vendors, and committees. • Perform administrative and management tasks requested by the Board. • Ensure effective use of community management tools such as calendars, action items, and budgets. • Review monthly financial reports and submit summaries to the Board. • Provide recommendations on major capital expenditures to maintain community standards. • Monitor delinquency rates and manage the collections process for the portfolio. • Attend Board meetings and community events as required. • Prepare Board packages within established timelines. • Notify the Board of any legal actions involving the association. • Maintain unit and contract files and assist with architectural reviews and inspections. • Update resident information in the C3 database regularly. • Manage routine and special-project vendors, including procurement and performance evaluation. • Oversee Associa staff according to contract provisions. • Coordinate inspections of facilities and common areas, ensuring follow-up actions. • Supervise accounts payable processes in line with home-office procedures.

What You Bring

Candidates must demonstrate proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, community and homeowners-association operations, board dynamics, business correspondence, and conflict-resolution techniques. Strong professional communication, customer-service orientation, self-motivation, attention to detail, and effective time-management are essential. A minimum of an associate’s degree is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and candidates should have 0–3 years of community-association experience.
