About the Role
The Sales Engineer will develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements. They will prepare sales presentations to create product understanding and awareness, and build relationships with key customers to enhance long‑term business prospects. Additionally, they will work with factories to resolve technical issues and collaborate with customers to address quality concerns. What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and has at least three years of electrical industry sales experience. A valid driver’s license is required, and candidates must reside within 50 miles of Glendale Heights, IL, unless exempt as active‑duty military. Essential skills include excellent communication, strong electrical product knowledge (MCCBs, LV/MV breakers, panelboards, switchboards, switchgear), technical solution development, time management, and negotiating abilities. Experience with preparing sales proposals, value‑added selling techniques, robust presentation and training, and using Bidmanager and Vista is also required. The position demands up to 25% travel and the ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. • Hold a bachelor's degree (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred) and minimum 3 years of electrical industry sales experience • Possess a valid driver’s license and reside within 50 miles of Glendale Heights, IL (military exemption applies) • Demonstrate excellent communication, electrical product knowledge, and technical solution skills • Skilled in time management, negotiation, and preparing sales proposals • Experienced in value‑added selling, presentations, training, and using Bidmanager and Vista • Ability to travel up to 25% and work in the U.S. without corporate sponsorship
