Job Highlights
About the Role
Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks with various lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. Depending on the route, they may handle residential collections, roll‑off containers, or bulk pickups, requiring skilled backing maneuvers and navigation of congested roadways, alleys, and tight sites. • Operate vehicles in compliance with WM safety rules, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable laws. • Complete pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and submit Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, accidents, or service interruptions to the Operations Manager or Dispatch. • Attend required training programs, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to improve route efficiency and share best practices. • Communicate customer requests and ensure each dump site is left clean and free of debris. • Follow assigned routes, finish end‑of‑day documentation, and assist fellow drivers as needed.

What You Bring
The role involves standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking and hearing, with accommodations available for disabilities. • Minimum one year of CDL‑Class A or B operation (or equivalent military driving) within the last 7 years. • Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States. • Hold a Class A or B Commercial Driver License with an air‑brake endorsement. • High school diploma or GED preferred.
