About the Role
• Perform third‑party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections. • Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS policy. • Manage code‑compliance projects, including plan review, technical support, inspections, performance and budget monitoring, proposal preparation, site meeting attendance, and problem resolution. • Mentor and train other building inspectors. • Assist with P&L management, market services through client interaction development, and support marketing and business‑development activities related to code inspections.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures. • High School Diploma or GED required. • 5+ years of experience in code‑compliance inspection of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire‑protection systems or plan review preferred. • Hold at least one valid ICC certification (B2, M2, P2, E2) and obtain NC Code Officials Qualification Board Building Inspector Level I within 90 days of hire. • NC Code Officials Qualification Board Building Inspector Level II preferred, or obtain certification within 90 days of hire. • Valid driver’s license required if driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary.
