Team Leader - Accounts Payable

About the Role

The primary business priority is to ensure that all accounts payable obligations are met efficiently while maintaining key performance indicators. The PTP lead will be accountable for posting and payment transactions, overseeing end-to-end processes, and upholding company policies and supplier relationships to support growth. In this role you will manage and coach the accounts payable team, directing daily work and ensuring the full invoice-to-payment cycle—receipt, three-way match, posting and payment—runs smoothly. You will enforce compliance with CFI, SOX and local statutory requirements, identify automation opportunities, drive DPO improvement initiatives, and act as the subject-matter expert for internal and external stakeholders. • Lead and coach the accounts payable team to achieve KPI targets. • Oversee the end-to-end invoice-to-payment cycle, including receipt, three-way match, posting and payments. • Ensure compliance with company policies, CFI, SOX and local statutory regulations. • Identify and implement process automation, standardisation and continuous-improvement initiatives. • Act as subject-matter expert and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. • Develop and execute training plans to build team capabilities. • Manage staff performance using a culture-of-coaching methodology. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and suppliers. • Prioritise and drive multiple projects simultaneously while removing barriers.

What You Bring

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management, at least seven years of AP experience and three years of team-management experience. Candidates must be fluent in English (C1), proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office, and possess strong analytical, communication and change-management skills. Preferred qualifications include Lean Six Sigma, project-management experience, and a track record of driving process-improvement initiatives. • 7+ years of accounts payable experience. • 3+ years of people-management experience. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management. • Fluent English (C1 level) with strong written and verbal communication. • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications. • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, project management or process improvement. • Strong analytical, stakeholder-influence and presentation skills. • Ability to lead change, coach others and develop talent.
