About the Role

The role supports design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance and treatment facilities, as well as master planning and rehabilitation projects. Responsibilities include managing project tasks, permitting, construction coordination, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring high‑quality plans and monitoring budgets and schedules. • Assist in designing water transmission, distribution, pumping stations, conveyance, treatment systems, and wastewater master plans. • Manage project design tasks, permitting, construction coordination, and monitor progress, budgets, and schedules. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and review/maintain quality of plans. • Provide engineering support, receive on‑the‑job training, mentorship, and exposure to client interactions.

Kimley‑Horn’s San Antonio, Texas office is seeking a Civil Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) with at least two years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. The position is onsite and involves work on municipal water and wastewater utility designs. • 2+ years of municipal wastewater design experience; ABET‑accredited B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering. • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months. • Experience with pipeline design, pump stations, hydraulic modeling, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. • Strong technical writing, clear communication, detail‑oriented, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
