About the Role

The Pipe Foreman coordinates daily pipe‑crew activities, operates heavy equipment for excavation, pipe installation, and backfill, and sequences work to minimize interference with other project activities and the public. Continuous site inspections are performed to identify hazards, enforce safety programs, and maintain a safe work environment. The role also includes monitoring equipment for malfunctions, analyzing job cost reports to stay within budget, reviewing and approving time reporting, and maintaining professional relationships with owners while climbing safely on and off mobile equipment. Reading and interpreting plans, verifying dimensions, preparing pipe for welding, and submitting daily progress reports are essential duties. • Supervise daily pipe crew activities and coordinate work sequencing. • Operate and oversee heavy equipment for excavation, pipe installation, and backfill. • Conduct site inspections to identify hazards and enforce safety standards. • Monitor equipment performance, perform maintenance, and address malfunctions. • Review job cost reports and maintain production within budget. • Approve employee time sheets and submit daily progress reports. • Maintain professional communication with owners and project personnel. • Read and interpret plans, verify dimensions, and prepare pipe for welding. • Safely climb on/off mobile equipment as required.

What You Bring

Successful candidates must communicate effectively with crew members, think logically to compare site conditions with project designs, and read blueprints and related documents. Proficiency with email, smartphones, tablets, or computers for managing company information is required, as is maintaining acceptable attendance and constant alertness to multiple concurrent site activities. At least one year of construction experience in roads, highways, or bridges is needed, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. • Strong communication skills for crew interaction. • Ability to read blueprints and project specifications. • Logical problem‑solving to compare site conditions with designs. • Proficient with email, smartphones, tablets, or computers for document management. • Minimum one year of construction experience (roads, highways, bridges). • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Consistent attendance and alertness to multiple site activities.
