About the Role
The role is a Fixed Term Contract that involves overseeing on‑site engagement activities, coordinating door‑to‑door data collection and ensuring high‑quality interactions with residents, businesses and stakeholders. It combines hands‑on fieldwork with leadership responsibilities such as guiding junior team members, managing risks and guaranteeing accurate, consistent information aligned with project objectives. The position can be based in Guildford or Central London but will be predominantly site‑based, and offers access to the WSP Land Academy and a network of experts to support your professional development. Core responsibilities focus on leading engagement activities, conducting complex stakeholder interactions, gathering and validating site data, and providing on‑site leadership and mentorship to junior staff while ensuring compliance with health, safety and data‑protection standards. • Lead and coordinate door‑to‑door engagement across designated project areas. • Conduct complex or sensitive engagements with residents, businesses and property owners. • Perform site observations to support project information gathering. • Provide on‑site leadership, mentoring and support to junior field staff. • Ensure consistent, high‑standard data collection processes. • Review and validate collected information before submission. • Act as primary escalation point for field issues, including access challenges, complaints or safety concerns. • Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and represent the organisation professionally. • Monitor progress against daily/weekly targets and report updates to project management. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, safeguarding and data‑protection requirements. • Identify opportunities to improve engagement methods, tools and workflows.
