About the Role
The Field Supervisor provides overall direction for field operations, ensuring project schedules and labor budgets are met for construction projects, including any specialty department work. This role directly supervises all Pepper Construction field personnel and subcontractors while establishing positive relationships with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors. Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling projects with short‑interval schedules, developing manpower and budget plans, and controlling job progress through effective subcontractor management, problem resolution, documentation, quality, and safety techniques. The supervisor also monitors labor, material, and equipment costs weekly to maintain profitability and customer satisfaction, and demonstrates superior construction process knowledge. • Plan and schedule projects, including short‑interval schedules. • Develop manpower plans and working budgets based on estimates. • Control job progress by managing subcontractors, solving problems, and ensuring proper documentation, quality, and safety. • Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs weekly to control project expenses. • Ensure client satisfaction by meeting all client needs. • Provide leadership through team building, communication, motivation, and coaching. • Mentor, coach, and motivate field personnel. • Educate all parties on the importance of safety.

What You Bring
The position prefers a bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or Management and requires 5–10 years of experience managing commercial construction in higher education, K‑12, or industrial markets. Candidates must possess strong personnel management skills, be willing to travel in‑state, and understand that salary will range from $115,000 to $135,000 based on location, experience, and other factors. • Demonstrate superior knowledge of construction processes. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management preferred. • 5–10 years of experience managing commercial construction in higher education, K‑12, or industrial markets. • Experience as a general contractor in the same markets. • Willingness to travel in‑state for projects. • Equal Employment Opportunity employer; does not sponsor work visas.
