About the Role
The Senior Construction Project Engineer will provide structural design and construction management services for several facility upgrades at the Miami International Airport, handling routine design management, permitting coordination, schedule reviews, and coordination of design and construction activities. • Coordinate management of structural design projects. • Expedite permitting approval with building code officials. • Review design, permitting, and construction schedules. • Validate construction estimates. • Provide support to Miami Dade Aviation Department – Facility Management as required. • Monitor cost control and schedule management. • Engage with all stakeholders positively via verbal and written communication. • Coordinate closely with the client regarding construction activities and job progress, especially those affecting daily operations. • Work with the scheduler to develop a thorough and realistic schedule. • Review field staff reports, including daily reports and photography of work activities and installation methods. • Ensure project documentation is correctly named and filed in construction management software. • Coordinate schedule and construction activities with third‑party inspectors, contractors, and owner staff. • Work with field staff to ensure field quality verification and safety inspections. • Provide updates and reports to the client about project status.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college (preferred). • 10‑15 years of experience in structural design. • Professional Engineer (PE) license required. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Ability to maintain positive relationships with public agencies, architects, engineers, permits/inspections departments, utility owners, and company employees. • Understanding of cost control and schedule management. • Experience with residential/multifamily construction (preferred).

Benefits
The salary range for this role is $130,000‑$155,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
