About the Role
The Factory Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial health and operational performance of Hitachi Energy India Limited's manufacturing facility. This role manages financial planning, analysis and reporting to ensure optimal cost control, efficiency and compliance within factory operations. • Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the factory, aligned with company objectives. • Monitor factory performance versus budget, identify variances and drive corrective actions. • Develop and implement cost accounting systems, including standard costing, variance analysis and inventory valuation. • Prepare accurate, timely financial reports on production costs, profitability and operational KPIs. • Manage CAPEX requests, evaluations and post‑implementation reviews to ensure financial viability. • Collaborate with production, supply chain and engineering teams to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve efficiency. • Ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS/Indian GAAP and statutory regulations. • Oversee inventory management, conduct regular physical counts and reconcile valuations. • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision‑making. • Lead and mentor the factory finance team, fostering development and performance. • Act as a business partner to the Factory Manager, contributing to the plant’s strategic direction. • Uphold Hitachi core values of safety and integrity in all activities.

What You Bring
• Hold a B.Com, M.Com or MBA; CA/CMA/Intermediate qualification is an advantage. • Possess 7‑12 years of progressive finance experience, with 3‑5 years in a manufacturing controller role. • Demonstrate strong understanding of cost accounting, variance analysis and manufacturing KPIs. • Proficient in SAP FICO or other major ERP systems. • Exhibit excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. • Able to prepare and present clear financial reports to diverse audiences. • Strong leadership, team‑management and interpersonal communication abilities. • Results‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy, integrity and fluent English proficiency.
