CAD Designer
Create and modify technical drawings for civil infrastructure projects using CAD tools.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Assist in developing bid‑ready drawing sets, including civil site plans, grading plans, and utility profiles. • Maintain organized digital files and drawing sets with version control and proper documentation. • Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit to develop and coordinate civil engineering drawings and models. • Create drawings from verbal instructions, sketches, or marked‑up prints using CAD/drafting tools. • Perform preliminary layout of complex assignments to define appropriate drawings and information. • Draft according to company, client, and national standards (symbols, nomenclature, engineering terms). • Prepare design modifications from sketches and data when prototypes are unavailable. • Produce freehand sketches of designs and ideas for engineering use. • Verify completed work, check dimensions, and determine required materials. • Stay current on drafting techniques, standards, practices, and engineering procedures. • Continuously collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure deliverables meet project requirements and standards.

What You Bring
• Associate or technical degree in CAD, Survey, Construction, or equivalent. • Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D strongly preferred and Revit a plus. • Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro. • Basic understanding of civil engineering concepts such as grading, utilities, and site layout. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Willingness to learn, take direction from senior designers, and work with multidisciplinary teams. • Effective communication, time‑management, and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. • Preferred 5–10 years of relevant experience.
